  • M. Patricia Morse Award – William Hoese, California State University, Fullerton
  • Dorothy M. Skinner Award – Kirstin Brink, University of British Columbia
  • The Student Support Committee announced funding of 28 Grants in aid of Research (GIAR) and 7 Fellowships of Graduate Student Travel (FGST) awards, which were granted to students from all 11 SICB divisions. The newly establishedSteven Vogel Award was presented to Sarah Amonett, University of Mississippi.
