University of Nebraska at Omaha: Graduate positions (PHD or MS) available studying behavioral neurogenomics and neuroethology

The Wong lab is seeking applications for graduate students (Ph.D. or Master’s) interested in the fields of behavioral neurogenomics or neuroethology. We employ an integrative approach to understand the molecular and neural mechanisms of stress coping styles; research is funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.

The lab is broadly interested in the proximate mechanisms of variation in complex behaviors. We draw on principles and methodologies from behavioral ecology, neuroethology, molecular neuroscience, to bioinformatics. Students can apply to the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Psychology Department (Ph.D. with a concentration in Neuroscience & Behavior, or Biology Department (Master’s only, Deadline to apply is January 2018.

The Wong lab currently has funds for graduate student support on a Graduate Research Assistant Fellowship. Strong applicants are also eligible for Teaching Assistant Fellowships with tuition waivers, health insurance, and competitive stipends.
