The Department of Life Science, National Taiwan University seeks two outstanding scientists with expertise in (1) Animal Organismic Biology or Population Ecology, and (2) Plant Diversity (Functional Plant Morphology), or Plant Physiological Ecology to fill positions at the rank of Assistant Professor (or higher). The successful candidate is expected to teach (1) General Biology and Population Ecology, and (2) General Biology, Plant Diversity, or Functional Plant Morphology, as well as develop an internationally recognized research program. Applicants having strong commitment to undergraduate education and academic research are cordially invited.

The applicant is required to have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree and international research experience. Candidates with post-doctoral training are preferred. Evidence of exemplary scholar achievement (funding, publications, presentations, etc.) commensurate with position and years of experience is expected. The applicant should have effective communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to collaborate with other scientists.
