The SICB serves its membership and the general biological community with publications that provide information on the workings of the society, emerging topics in the fields of integrative and comparative biology, and useful tools for the classroom.
Integrative and Comparative Biology
The SICB publishes a journal entitled "Integrative and Comparative Biology," which is one of the most cited and highly respected journals in the field of biology. First published in 1961 as the "American Zoologist," the journal publishes symposia proceedings and abstracts from the Annual Meetings as well as book reviews, reports and special bulletins.
SICB Research and Education Resources
The SICB Research and Education Resources (RER) provide peer-reviewed instructional materials, resources and activities in integrative and comparative biology for faculty to enhance undergraduate education at two- and four-year colleges and universities.
The newsletter is published in the Spring and the Fall of each year to inform members of the business of the Society and its activities.
